SHSM Communicable Disease Control

Description

This course is recommended for all managers and supervisors responsible for work areas with many workers or those who have identified a higher risk for disease transmission. The course will provide modules on the following topics:

• Measures for control of specific diseases and management of outbreaks
• Immunization awareness and services
• Infection control guidelines and procedures
• Information on common communicable diseases (e.g., influenza and tuberculosis)
• WSIB and MOL reporting requirements
• Public Health’s role
