Description
This course provides the student-learner with an awareness of confined space entry hazards, legislation and guidelines, procedures and equipment detector selection, and practical rescue scenarios. The following modules will be covered:
- Definition of a confined space
- Restricted space versus confined space
- Determining human occupancy
- Causes of atmospheric and physical hazards
- Acceptable atmospheric levels
- Responsibilities under the confined space program
- Rescues
Practical components to this course also involve:
- Situational identification of a confined space
- Developing a confined space program
- Developing a rescue procedure
- Filling out all applicable forms for a case study
