Description
Barantas offers ATV rider safety training in Ontario in association with Redline Outdoors Inc., authorized by the Canada Safety Council (CSC). The CSC program is a nationally recognized course that combines theory with practical riding instruction, similar to the courses offered by the ATV Safety Institute (ASI) in the United States.
Students who complete the course receive a Barantas/CSC Certificate of Completion and are registered with the CSC for future updates.
Why the training is required
- Occupational Health and Safety Act, s. 25(2)(a): employers must provide information, instruction and supervision to workers
- Industrial Establishments, Reg. 851, s. 54(1)(d): mobile equipment must be operated only by a competent person
- Construction Projects, O. Reg. 213/91, s. 96(1): no worker may operate a vehicle or powered equipment at a project unless competent to do so
The CSC Rider Safety Training course gives employers and workers the training needed to meet these requirements.
Where training takes place
Theory and practical evaluations are delivered at Redline Outdoors Inc. training locations across Ontario. Training can also be arranged at your site if ATVs are provided or available on the day of training.
Please note: Because training takes place in the field, coffee, tea and water are not provided. Please dress for the weather and come prepared to spend the day outside.
Using side-by-sides or utility vehicles? See UTV Rider Safety Training.
Delivery: In person, outdoors (hands-on riding required).
