Fall Protection Training
Falls continue to be the major contributor to jobsite fatalities as trends still show that roughly 40% of all fatalities on Ontario Construction sites are due to falls.
Barantas Fall Protection Training provides workers with a very detailed insight to the dangers found on construction projects and how we can
best protect ourselves and other workers. This presentation describes all
aspects of fall protection that may be required in the construction industry. Fall protection awareness, and full review of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations pertaining to fall protection (section 26) will be covered.
Changes introduced June 12, 2002 include:
  • that every worker who may use a fall protection system is adequately trained in its use and given adequate oral and written instructions by a competent person
  • that training records are kept, including training dates and participants' names
  • that training records are available to Ministry of Labour inspectors on request.
