Barantas Inc has been incorporated since April 2002. Prior to its incorporation, Barantas was operated as a business called Work Right since 1997. Initially Work Right was a health and safety business that catered to construction companies by providing preventative and corrective safety programs and interventions. These include policies, procedures, ergonomics, injury prevention strategies and safety training.

Barantas has since evolved into a firm specializing in individually designed health and safety programs for companies. Barantas’ focus is and has always been the construction market.With a strong core of employees and a good pool of consultants, Barantas aims for a “Zero Incident” program with health, safety and environmental specialists. |
Our primary goal is to eliminate injuries and secondly is to control the costs and time impacts associated with any injuries through WSIB claims management and ESRTW programming.
Our 4 pronged approach covers and integrates health & safety into a construction program rather than attempting to laminate a safety program onto a construction program.
People need to be given clear expectations and consequences. All workers, visitors and management will be required to have (or be provided with) the necessary training to ensure they understand the expectations and consequences of their attendance on the site. Workers are more apt to hit targets and avoid negative behaviour with training, communication and clear guidelines established from the beginning.

The Health of all of the workers is paramount. Workers must be healthy from all workplace injuries and illnesses to effectively and efficiently complete their tasks. This includes communicable diseases, ergonomics and environmental issues related to the work. |

Safety requires the assessment, measurement, that the site and the workers maintain a physically safe and productive work space. This includes OSHA, construction regulations, WHMIS compliance as examples of the physical safety issues that would arise and be dealt with.
Information management is necessary on an ongoing basis. All HSE activities will be documented, measured, trended and utilized to create governing documents as well as progress and compliance targets. Policies and procedures reviews, training records, and inspections will be collected and analyzed to optimize the safe and healthy performance of the site. All WSIB issues are monitored if they arise to ensure that ESRTW is optimized as per the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act.
